Your Tasty Morsels #5 - The Coronavirus special
Hello Lovely people!
Coronavirus is the talk of the town.
In today's newsletter, I focus exclusively on Coronavirus.
Let's hop onto this week's stories.
The Coronavirus Scare
At a house party last weekend, I heard a friend animatedly explaining to the group the origin of the Coronavirus. The story included Bats, Poison, Chinese people, and Sex. Her conviction was firm, and I almost believed her. During a health crisis, the information you consume and then share needs to be vetted by health care experts. It would be best if you didn't rely on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, or WhatsApp as your source of information.
Always go to vetted sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which have a dedicated page for Coronavirus.
Believe it or not - Experts who visited China have confirmed that the largest populous country has been able to plummet the number of casualties because of their aggressive measures.
The Unintended Consequences of the Coronavirus
Chinese government forced its citizens to stay indoors and spread information using large speakers outside the homes. Due to the scare, very few people took out cars or booked cabs to travel within their cities. It turns out that two months of reduced travel was enough for China's air to become clear of toxins. A press release by Nasa confirmed this news, which you can read here.
Zoom's share price doubled amidst the Coronavirus scare. The problem is that the investors bet their money on the wrong Zoom. The video conferencing company's ticker is ZM, and the other company whose ticker is Zoom is a Beijing-based maker of mobile phone components with a market value of just $18 million. The Coronavirus prediction
All of us, at some time, have been fascinated with the doomsday prediction. What if I told you that a virus-like Corona Virus was predicted by an American Author Sylvia Browne back in 2009 in her book End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies About the End of the World. In her book, she wrote,
In around 2020, a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments, "reads a passage from the book.
"Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attack again ten years later, and then disappear completely.

In addition to the stories here are my recommendations for the week:
Product - Follow the Coronavirus in real-time, see the latest victim toll, and track the spread of the epidemic by country.
Video - A Vietnamese Government video on coronavirus has gone viral. It not only instructs but enthrals. Based on famous V-pop hit 'Ghen,' it has now triggered a dancing spree on TikTok
That's it for today's issue. Stay safe, wash your hands for 20 seconds, and if you are unsure go and check with a doctor near you.
Until next time,
